Our mission is to cultivate each student’s respect for themselves, the culture of Big Grassy First Nation and the global community. To offer progressive academic curriculum in a safe and positive learning environment. Provide all students with the necessary tools and life skills to achieve their full potential. Strive to achieve cohesiveness among students, parents, staff, and all the community.
PHILOSOPHY OF EDUCATION
PEGAMIGAABO SCHOOL believes education must be holistic and provide for each student’s intellectual, social, emotional, physical, and spiritual growth and well-being.
PEGAMIGAABO SCHOOL believes in each individual’s respect, dignity, value, and worth and that all interactions between staff, students, parents, and community members should be based on that philosophy.
PEGAMIGAABO SCHOOL believes learning is a lifelong process and that the education system must be flexible and adaptive to change while always focusing on the needs of the students it is designed to serve.
PEGAMIGAABO SCHOOL recognizes and appreciates that each student has different attitudes, desires, and abilities. Therefore, its staff must be sensitive, caring, and highly skilled.
PEGAMIGAABO SCHOOL believes that parents and community members play a vital role in determining educational goals and motivating students to be successful in their growth and development. Parents are expected to be active participants in the academic endeavours of Big Grassy River First Nation.
